IBM Advance Toolchain for PowerLinux 3.0 released

A new version of the IBM Advance Toolchain for PowerLinux was released last week. The new standalone Linux toolchain features the latest features and optimizations for Power systems, including the new POWER7 processor, allowing users to take leading edge advantage of IBM latest hardware features, such as Decimal Floating Point and Vector Scalar Extension (VSX) enablement.

The new toolchain ships the following components:

  • binutils-2.20-20100526

  • gcc-4.4.4-ibm-r160160

  • glibc-2.11-ibm

  • libdfp-1.0.3

  • gmp-4.2.4

  • mpfr-2.4.1

  • gdb-7.1

  • valgrind-3.4.1 (with iTrace add-on)

  • oprofile-0.9.6

And is available for SLES10, SLES11 and RHEL5. Download RPMs and sources here:
