This is another thing I use the ultra-wide-angle lens for: architecture shots. It’s something like the poor man’s perspective control/tilt-shift lens. In shots like this one of the Library of Congress Great Hall, I will usually go for a wider than normal scene in order to leave plenty of room to make the distortion corrections later.
